Five mountain peaks of more than 8000 meters of altitude Mount Everest, Cho Oyu, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, and Lhotse are all visible from Gokyo. Overnight stay at a guesthouse in Gokyo valley. Day 08: Rest Day at Gokyo, hike to Gokyo Ri, Fifth Lake and its surroundings Today is the 8th day of our trek scheduled as rest day at gokyo valley. Today, we'll be going hike to Gokyo Ri, fifth lake & its surroundings. Gokyo is a trade centre where the Sherpa people run lodges to provide the best services to trekkers. So, there'll be lot of things to watch & enjoy here. Overnight stay at guesthouse in Gokyo valley. Day 09: Trek back to Dhole Altitude: 4200m/ 13779ft. Time Travel: 4 to 5 hrs Walk Today, we'll be trekking back to Dhole. On our way, we'll pass thriugh several forests & also a small village. We'll be able to enjoy the amazing view of majestic mountains, serene forests & culture of sherpa prople on our way to Dhole. After treking for around 4 to 5 hours we'll reach Dhole. Overnight stay at guesthouse in Dhole. Day 10: Trek to down Namchebazzar Altitude: 3,440m/11,283ft Time Travel: 5 to 6 hrs Walk The next day, we resume our downhill trek from Dhole to Namche. The trail starts descending steeply to Photse Tenga (3650m.) passing through rhododendron forests. We also cross many Sherpa settlement areas and villages on our way to Nmache bazaar. It'll take us around 5 to 6 hours to reach Namche bazaar. Overnight stay at a guesthouse in Namche Bazzar. Day 11: Namche to Phakding to Lukla Trek Altitude: 2,800m/9,184ft. Time Travel: 4 to 5 hrs walk We trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla which takes about six hours. The last day of our trek leads from Namche Bazaar via Monjo to Lukla. Tofday, there'll be few short uphill climbs and then down to the Bhote-Koshi River crossing it three times. The last uphill climb of 45 minutes will bring us to Lukla for our overnight stay. Overnight stay at guesthouse in Lukla. Day 12: Fly Back to Kathmandu Altitude: 1,300m/4,264 ft. Time Travel: 30 to 40 minutes flight The next day, you will board a flight back to Kathmandu while enjoining the 30-minutes of scenic mountain flight. The rest of the time in Kathmandu, you will be shopping and buying souvenirs to your loved ones. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu. Day 13: Kathmandu to Your Port of Destination On the 13th day of the tour package, you will return to your country via the International Airport from Kathmandu. |
